🎙️ 1. New Podcast - How To Charge More (Without Working Harder)

video preview

Just this month my clients:

  • Closed two $96k deals (podcast production)
  • Closed a $25k/month retainer (graphic design)
  • Closed a $25k/month retainer (marketing for blue collar biz)
  • Closed a $53k project (web development)

They’re just normal people.

Yes, they’re great at what they do.

But you probably are too.

In this week’s video, I explain how they did it (and you can too.)

Podcast version here.

🎙️ 2. Creative Exercise I Enjoyed - 9 Creative Meditations by Yancey Strickler

video preview

Cool YouTube video from Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler.

Here's the description:

“Earlier this year I (Yancey) was invited to give a talk to a group of artists, and specifically asked to reflect on my creative career to date.

When I looked back on my projects in response to this invitation, I was surprised to find a clear set of learnings — many of which I hadn’t noticed before.

Nine observations emerged almost immediately felt like all creative people might benefit from hearing."

Watch it here.

🔖 3. Where I’ve Been Spending More Of My Time Online - Substack

I feel like I'm late to be a cool early adopter when it comes to this.

But if I had to rank my current media enjoyment by platform it would be:

  1. Substack
  2. YouTube
  3. Instagram (I spend the most time on here, but consume the least).
  4. Twitter

I’m getting the most value by far from Substack right now.

I’d like to invite you to follow me…

Just in case something happens.

🐲 4. Unique Thing I Did Last Week - Played Dungeons & Dragons For The First Time

Last week I played Dungeons and Dragons for the first time.

It was pretty fun.

I played a Level 10 Paladin named “Valorous Seraphim Goldenmace” lol.

This was the setup:

I played with a pretty experienced crew who have been playing together for a long time, they taught me the ropes.

I really enjoyed:

I need to get better at:

  • 🧙 Roleplaying. 😆

Going back for round 2 tonight, wish me luck!

💬 Quote I’m Pondering…

“Missing a train is only painful if you run after it! Likewise, not matching the idea of success others expect from you is only painful if that’s what you are seeking.”

How we can work together

When you’re ready, here are 2 free ways I can help you:

  1. 🎧 My Podcast. Listen to or watch my free podcast The Rich Webster Show. It is an unfiltered look behind the scenes at my life and work.
  2. 🛠️ 6-Figure Solopreneur Systems. Free email course. Steal the exact systems I used to run TWO multi-six-figure solo businesses in under 20 hours a week.

And 2 paid engagements:

  1. 🏖 How To Work Less. From 2012-2023, I built a design agency that made me $500k/year, working 10 hours a week. 🏖How To Work Less gives the playbook. Enrolling now. (400+ past students. 5 stars)
  2. 🧪 The Lab. I advise and mentor 6-7 figure Creative Solopreneurs. If you want to work closely with me (i.e. we speak 1-2 times a week), watch this video, the follow the instructions.

😊 Have a great week - Rich
