Work Less Wednesday: November 19👋 Hey Reader! This is issue #180 of Work Less Wednesday, where I share with you 5 things you should know about, in 5 minutes or less. That leaves you with 10,075 other minutes this week. 💸 1. Announcing My Latest Product...Nearly two years ago, I started outlining a product called “How To Charge More.” (It initially began as a book concept.) Last week, I sent out a short email to a select group of WLW readers to validate that idea. The reception exceeded my expectations DRAMATICALLY. Of the 5,000 who opened the email, nearly 750 people expressed interest in the program. That’s enough for me. If you’ve been following me for a long time, you’ll know the topic is something I’ve always been passionate about.
It’s also one of the first things I work on with my clients when we work together. And as I mentioned… Everyone is undercharging. Everyone. Even VERY accomplished (6-7 figure) entrepreneurs. I’ve developed a set of very practical tools that address both the internal and external blockages behind low prices. And I’ll be sharing them in early January. One more thing... I intend to offer a very limited amount of Black Friday specials as a thank you to those who joined the Waitlist. If you’d to be kept in the loop, just click the button below.
You’ll hear much more about this in December, and I plan to kick things off in January, to get your 2026 off on the right foot. 🔄 2. Tool I’m Using - Phil Stutz’s “Instinct Cycle”Recently I learned about Phil Stutz’s tool called the “Instinct Cycle.” The point of the Instinct Cycle is to compress the time between decision and action. It’s not about being right, it’s about building the muscle of action and learning to trust your instincts. With the Instinct Cycle, the person who wins isn’t the person who’s right the most times - it’s the person who works the cycle the most times. Here’s how it works: As you move throughout your days, find every opportunity to make a decision, even if you don’t have enough information—particularly if you don’t have enough information—and take the action with speed. Everything you do is to train this organ to tolerate consequences; the point is to not get it “right.” The more you do this, the less intimidated you’re going to be to take action and the more confidence you will have. Most entrepreneurs would benefit from making faster decisions. Especially about decisions that are reversible. Every decision you’re delaying right now - pricing, hiring, launching, pivoting - has a cost. Not just the opportunity cost of waiting, but the cost to your confidence. The more time you let elapse before taking action, the more your self-esteem goes down. You can see the full book here. 👀 3. Challenge I Enjoyed - The 3X Check Challenge by Nat BermanSimple and powerful challenge from Nat Berman: “See if you can go an entire week with only “checking” things 3 times a day.” That means your email, social media, messages, bank accounts, notifications, etc. Here’s the thing about checking: It’s not about staying informed. It’s about feeling in control. But checking your phone 50 times a day gives you the exact same control as checking it 3 times: none. Try the 3x challenge this week. Pick your checking times (Try 9am, 1pm, 5pm) and stick to them religiously. See what happens. 🎨 4. How To Level Up At Design - 3 Courses To Check OutLast week one of my clients told me they needed to help their designers on staff level up. Their designs were 90% of the way there, but just didn’t have that final 10% of taste and polish to look truly world-class. They asked me if I knew any great courses teaching high level design principles. As a self-taught designer who learned in 2014 when online courses and YouTube weren’t like they are now, I had no ideas. But I DO have a network of clients who are amazing designers. I asked some of my OTHER designer clients and I got these 3 awesome recommendations:
They look amazing. I’m sure there are a handful of you who will benefit from these. Enjoy! 🖐 5. More Things I'm Into This Week...📘 Book I’m Reading - True and False Magic: A Tools Workbook by Phil Stutz 📰 My Latest Substack Post - What entrepreneurs can learn from artists about flow. 🦋 Supplement I’m Trying - Dead Sea Magnesium by Based Supplements 🛋️ The Best Beanbag Furniture - LoveSac Pillowsac 💬 Quote I’m Pondering… “The purpose of the universe is to force humans to evolve… In fact, the dynamic of this process is that the thing that’s most important to you is what you’ll actively avoid. God sets it up like this for a reason: It’s a training program. You get a superpower when you approach whatever you habitually avoid.” - Phil Stutz, True and False Magic: A Tools Workbook How we can work togetherWhen you’re ready, here are two free ways I can help you:
